To Bill
Easy in a pair of boots and Levis
working cattle or working wood or
wearing a suit into the office
he's a simple man of basic good.
His beard is streaked with gray and brown
and he sets his jaw that certain way
that says he has a personal code
of living life how he will say.
Blue eyes can read a person's face
or see the beauty of a Texas sky.
In them you'll see compassion
his heart shows in those eyes.
His own good sense of what is right
has integrity rated number one.
He's a selfless and a thoughtful man.
His time is for family, friends and fun.
I'm glad to know this man of honor.
I cannot think of any other
that gives more meaning to my life
than Bill, my marvelous younger brother.
